ABOUT THE ACADEMY
4Points Academy (or "4PA") was founded as a micro-school in Steiner Ranch, Austin. We serve students in Grades 1-6 (full-time program) and offer Grades 7-8 part-time plug-in, and Grades 1-12 tutoring. In response to COVID 19, our school has moved online. The school’s underlying goal is to differentiate the core academic instruction to meet the academic needs of each child, regardless of age. 4PA accomplishes this by blending a rigorous online curriculum with teacher led instruction.
4PA utilizes adaptive diagnostic and assessment tools along with teacher input, to assess each child continuously throughout the academic year. Our adaptive tooling allows teachers to have the flexibility to respond to the needs of each student. Teachers can seamlessly provide greater academic stimulation to students who are academically advanced and employ key intervention strategies for students who are struggling in a particular area. 4PA teachers do not have to wait for the results of a standardized exam (e.g., the STAAR) to be able to identify and respond to learning challenges. With real time data, teachers have the tools to be able to respond quickly and effectively.
4PA prides itself on academic success with students performing one to two grade levels about their peers. In addition, two of our students were accepted into the John Hopkins Gifted and Talented program in 2018 and 2020, and we anticipate more students being able to join similar programs.
4PA is focused on achieving academic excellence, as well as, catering to the social and developmental needs of our students. Consequently:
We offer flexible options for home schoolers, athletes, and travelling families.
Please note that we are not equipped to teach students who have a learning disability that prevents them from focusing on instruction being provided online.

- We encourage our students to be globally minded with a compassionate heart and to be respectful of all persons.
- We support the arts and have integrated music, art, and yoga into our program.
- We continue to hone the presentation and IT/coding skills of our students and the acquisition of core Mandarin and Spanish language skills.
- We encourage participation in sports at school and are excited at our students’ ability to leverage the mechanics learnt into their afterschool endeavors including football, basketball, martial arts, music and acting.
