ADMISSIONS

​Admission Process 
​The Academy has rolling enrollment throughout the school year. Parents can apply at any time and admitted students can begin attending classes at any time during the active school year. Tuition is pro-rated based on attendance start date.

The application and enrollment process includes the series of steps outlined below.  The Academy reserves the right to modify these steps or the order in which the steps are completed, at our discretion. In addition, the Academy reserves the right to not accept a student into our school or to not accept an application for a student if we deem that an incoming student would not be a good fit with the school or be disruptive to our online environment or students, such determination to be made solely by the Directors. 

Admission is on a rolling basis throughout the academic year. However, we will suspend admitting additional students in any class that is at its maximum class size. Please note that we are not trained to serve children with learning disabilities or who have special psychological, learning, behavioral, or physical needs. Note the Academy will work with parents who want a partial program enrollment (e.g. 3 days a week or Math only) or who have students who travel frequently for sports, dance or other activities and need an online learning environment.
  1. Application – Parents shall complete and sign the attached application form for each child they are considering enrolling.  The application form and a non-refundable application and assessment fee of $100.00 shall be provided by Zelle payment to admin@4pointsacademy.com, Venmo payment to @eustace-isidore, or via credit card payment following setup of an online account. (Online application form can be printed, manually completed, and emailed to admin@4pointsacademy.com). A commitment form is required in lieu of the full application for re-enrollment of existing students.
  2. Transcripts - Application form should be submitted along with the student’s academic transcripts from the last 2 years and a brief personal statement (who, why, interests) from the parents (for younger children) or prospective student (for Grades 3-5).
  3. Meeting of parents and student with school’s Directors.   
  4. Visit Day and Student assessment – Student will spend a virtual day at the school to determine whether the student is a good fit for the school and vice-versa. During the visit day, an assessment of the student will be conducted to assess the child’s academic level and proper placement for math, language arts, and other core subjects.
  5. Admissions decisions – If the Academy decides to admit a student, a written admissions decision will be provided to the parents, with enrollment particulars and documents.  
  6. As part of the enrollment documents, parents shall complete and execute an enrollment form and a student conduct form. Students above Grade 2 will also be asked to sign the student conduct form. 
  7. As a part of the enrollment process, parents are also required to complete our online account registration, accessible here. Credit card payment options (with fees!) are available with the online account registration.   
  8. The completed enrollment documents and the balance of the enrollment and curriculum access fee ($400/$500 depending on the grade level and the semester the student enrolls in) should be paid via Zelle bank payment to admin@4pointsacademy.com.  
  9. Welcome package – once enrollment is completed, a welcome package will be provided to the student. 
  10. Tuition payment is due with the enrollment documents.  For full tuition payment, a Zelle bank payment is preferred.  Split or partial payments can be made via credit card, with account setup. An additional 3% processing fee is assessed for partial tuition payments terms and for credit card payments. Processing fees are due and payable at the time of paying the tuition.

  • Tuition (less application, enrollment, materials fees) for the 2020/2021 Academic year is:
    • $10,000 - $12,500 for 4-day Gr. 3 - 5 elementary program, pro-rated based on start date.
    • The lower tuition amount is based on continued enrollment of 4 students in the class group.
    • There is a non refundable $100 application fee and a $400 curriculum access and enrollment fee. 
  • We offer sibling discounts from 10%-25% depending on each family's circumstances. Call 512.991.7950 to schedule an online consultation to discuss tuition.   
  • Some reduced tuition options are available (e.g., for partial-week/part-time enrollment). 
  • Additional fees are required for Enrichment programs such as Art and Coding, offered outside of the Mon-Thurs AM class time.
  • Monthly payment schedule available, with 3% processing fee.
  • Credit card payment option available, with 3% processing fee 
 
​Sibling discounts
Families enrolling a second or third child in the Academy are entitled to a 10%-25% discount on the tuition of those additional siblings.

Tuition Plans/Discount/Scholarships
A limited number of additional discounts are available for full-time enrollment and part-time enrollment. We also offer some partial-tuition scholarships to students based on need and/or special-circumstances. Please ask about your eligibility for the discount/scholarship when you apply. 

Parent Involvement

Parents enrolling in the school understand that they will be required to be involved in their child(ren)s education. To ensure success of the online program for your child(ren), we require each parent sign a commitment form during the enrollment process. This is particularly important for younger children in the elementary program, but also important for middle school children who are not self-motivated. Students must have supportive home environments that are conducive to learning, with parents interested in making sure they are logged in and ready to learn each school day. Ensuring that your child has a good night's sleep, a morning routine that includes waking up early, eating a good breakfast, and frequent check-ins by a parent are some of these requirements.  Please inquire prior to enrollment.
